This gameplay has been added alongside with River of Blood Expansion released. The main feature of this mode is allow to set the Corruption Cards on your own. This can be played Online or Offline Mode.
Here's how it works.
- SELECT CLEANER
- The first step is choose the Cleaner and Custom Deck.
- Make sure to check the Campaign Deck before enter Trial Of The Worm.
- CORRUPTION MODIFIERS
- For this step, you allow to set the difficulty between these 4 contents:
- DIFFICULTY: Choose how hard the difficulty is. Is it between Recruit, Veteran, Nightmare, No Hope, or the most challenging LEGENDARY ?
- RIDDEN: Choose how hard will it be, against Ridden and all Mutations.
- HORDE: Choose how hard will it be, against the Horde, includes the Boss Mutations.
- PLAYER: Choose how hard will the burden of life.
- All Players can discuss and have 1 minute 30 seconds to set up.
- Use "Left Mouse" button for increase rank and "Right Mouse" button for decrease rank. Press "W" on keyboard to show modify list.
- NEXT of each content below is what will it be when rank increased. You can see more details on the table below.
- Higher each content's rank, higher the overall Bonus Score Multiplier. The Bonus Multiplier can be set up to X51.00. It multiplies Supply Points and Score.
- For this step, you allow to set the difficulty between these 4 contents:
- MAP VOTE
- There are 3 level choice, along with difficulty chosen and random maps. All Players have 1 minute 30 seconds to vote a level.
- The map is randomized between these maps:
- Campaign ACT 1 - 4
- Ridden Hive level (if Party Leader owned Tunnels of Terror Expansion)
- Campaign ACT 5 (If Party Leader owned Children of the Worm Expansion)
- Campaign ACT 6 (If Party Leader owned River of Blood Expansion)
- Players who doesn't have any DLC and Party Leader owned them, Players can still get access to specified maps above (Like Quickplay Online Mode).
- Each level has the base score points and "Plus number" on the right to see all Corruption Cards.
- Top map choice has the lowest points and Bottom map choice has the highest points.
- CORRUPTION CARDS
- Read each Corruption Card carefully. Secondary Objective card is hidden.
- You can see their cards again by open up "Inventory" interface.
- All benefits of Corruption Cards from "Player" Rank, will be added as BOON. The opposite is known as CURSED.
- BURN CARD
- You allow to choose 1 burn card as usual.
- "HELL CAN WAIT" burn card cannot be used during Trial Of The Worm.
- All steps above will be repeated, as you have to play 4 Maps to complete this mode.
- You're allowed to set higher rank from previous, and it is optional.
Here are some information during gameplay.
- You need to complete all 4 Maps in a Single Run (No Continues).
- No Ridden Hive and Inner Lair Entrances during play Trial Of The Worm.
- The Vendor Box contains all contents, include Team Upgrades (even inside of Ridden Hive level).
- Secondary Objective contains bonus points. It means "search for Skull Totems" during Ridden Hive level, is required to get bonus points.
- Once Run Failed, you have no points for current level, and current score is the final result. As the final results displayed, you can see the Leaderboards based on Regional and Friends.
